SUSSEX UNABLE TO RECOVER FROM EARLY DEFICIT
Quebec jumped out to a 6-0 lead after two innings and that proved to be more than enough as they rolled from there to a 7-2 win over Sussex. The Capitales offense collected 13 hits and all but one starter in the lineup recorded at least one hit. Leading the way at the plate for Quebec was DH Jeremy Hunt, who was 3-for-4 with a double, three runs scored and two RBI. Capitales CF Geofrey Tomlinson also had a good game offensively, going 2-for-3 with a run scored and a RBI. Capitales reliever James Kukucka picked up his second win after two scoreless innings in which he allowed one hit and struck out one. |
